Dear readers, Santorini is prepering for the new season…
All the Hotels ,restaurants and shops are getting ready for the 2009 season.It seems that we will have a 10 – 15% drop from 2008.Hoteliers say that bookings are low but they expect last minute bookings.
I was checking a few days ago the low prices of Santorini hotels…Found out that they start from 19Euro…That is amazing, it is good and bad for the island.check prices on Santorini Travel Advisor http://www.santorini-tips.com
Lets say you book a room for 19 Euro…ask what is included in the price.A friend of mine(hotelier) told me that this kind of offers are traps.Example:
The room cost per day is 19 Euro + 5 Euro for the AC + 3 Euro for the fridge +3 Euro for daily sheets +5 Euro for breakfast .Total 35 Euro!!!
So before you book …ask?!
About the good and bad from these prices.Well it is good for young people to be able to visit Santorini in a low price.Have some fun at the beach and the bars.The bad thing is that Santorini gets overgrowded by these “small” prices and don’t forget it is a small island …High season starts 15 July to 15 September.If you like to enjoy Santorini in a good price avoid these dates.
